4 easy steps to give your living room an instant fall makeover

Hey Ladies

Since i have less than 4 more weeks until baby number 2 arrives i have been nesting like crazy! My favorite part of our home is the living room, which also serves as my sons playroom. Most of the time that’s the room, where we hang out, relax and play. Therefore i wanted to give it that cozy and inviting look and prepare it for the colder and darker days ahead. I added touches of fall vibes to make it really homey with furry throws, scented candles, and knick-knacks and love how it turned out. If you are as Pinterest obsessed as i am and just yearn for that fall inspired living room than i am here to tell you its easier done than it looks! here are 5 things I used to get our home ready for Fall

4 easy steps to give your living room an instant fall makeover

Buy Scented candles.

There is nothing stronger than the sense of smell. For fall i love the smell of wood, pine, cotton and other earthy elements. There is such a wide range of scented candles to pick from. My personal favorites are this bergamot candle and Voluspa PROSECCO BELLINI that also comes in a beautiful jar. I think we can all agree that fall scents are the best!

Bring in some natural elements.

Plants and flowers make a huge difference in any living space. Whether real or faux, bringing in greenery can make a living room feel instantly more inviting and homey. For the colder days buy greenery with low maintenance, such as eucalyptus, cotton stems or succulents that are so popular these days. Fake plants are also an option and paired with these gold plant stand it will be a real wow effect as well as a great fall makeover.

Get cozy throws and pillows

I always love to update my throw pillows according to the season. Its time for thicker materials such as velvet, fur, and crochet to really bring the coziness to the next level. In addition, there is nothing more relaxing than cozying up on the couch with a cup of tea and my favorite throw. Throw blankets make a great statement and are really useful. My favorites are cashmere which can get quite expensive, or if you want to get a cheaper version try this sheepskin one.

Put a rug on it

No more stepping on bare wood this season. Layer your floor with a rug or two. I bought this area rug and have been loving the way the room looks now. Moreover, my son loves to play on the rug and not on the bare wood floor. I also purchased this sheepskin rug from IKEA to layer on top
